Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair is one of the country's premier ceramic events taking place every year at the end of June in North Nottinghamshire. In 2017 we left our long term site and moved 10 miles to the Welbeck Estate, which houses the Harley Gallery, The Portland Collection and an array of artist studios.
Earth & Fire attracts potters from across the UK and mainland Europe who come to sell direct to the public from outdoor market stalls.
The event attracts collectors, gallery owners, enthusiasts and the general public alike, who flock to Earth & Fire to meet and talk to the potters selling everything from garden planters and sculptures, to bowls, pie dishes, teapots, mugs, plates and egg cups.
A celebration of clay and the potter's art

Over for another year.........
A speedy trip around some of Earth & Fire 2017 by Mark Fear…..
Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair 2017 is now over. A new venue, a year in the planning… the stalls were erected, the banners raised, the potters came, the sun shone, the visitors came, pots went to new homes and then the flags came down, the bunting was packed up and finally the stalls disappeared. It sounds so easy - a short list but so much happened in between. Fantastic to see so many old friends, potters and visitors and I’d like to say a big thank you for everyone who supported us with our move to a new home. Time to reflect and then it will be all go for Earth & Fire 2018!!
MICHEL COHEN - wood firer extrordinaire! Winner of the inaugural 'Potclays Potters' Potter Award' with James & Becky Otter (& Pooch) of Potclays who sponsored the award. Voted for by the exhibitors at Earth & Fire 2017.
JEAN-PAUL LANDREAU - Winner of the 'People's Potter Award'. Voted for by visitors at Earth & Fire 2017.
French potters takes the honours at Earth & Fire 2017
Our friends from across the Channel scooped both awards at Earth & Fire 2017, proving themselves to be favourites with both the visitors and their fellow potters. Jean-Paul has been a regular exhibitor with us since 2001 and he shared the accolades with first time exhibitor Michel. we look forward to welcoming them both back next year.
